Horsehair parachute fungus, Belarus

Tiny mushrooms often go unnoticed, but the horsehair parachute fungus deserves a closer look. With a stem as thin as a strand of horsehair and a pleated cap measuring just 0.5 to 1 centimetre across, this miniature mushroom proves that good things really do come in small packages.
