Blueberries have been around for over 13,000 years in the wild. However, they weren"t commercially farmed until the early 20th century, when Elizabeth Coleman White, an agricultural specialist, and Frederick Coville, a botanist, collaboratively bred the first domesticated variety in New Jersey, United States.
