Are you ready for a journey through time? Every spring, the people of Vigo dress in history, as their streets go back to 1809 to celebrate the Reconquest of Vigo, Spain. This event commemorates a milestone in history that marked a before and after in the city of olives, turning Vigo into the first European city to successfully expel the Napoleonic troops. Dressed in the attire of peasants and sailors, the villagers recreate this battle in honour of local history. The youngest ones also have their moment in the "Reconquistiña," where this period of history is revived in a playful and educational way.
