Tartu, located in the region of Estonia is often hailed as the "intellectual capital city" of the country. The city was designed by the German architect JHB Walter. Some notable attractions surrounding the square include Tartu Town Hall and the Arched Bridge. Travellers come here to visit the Emajõgi River which leads to a park adorned with historic monuments that pay homage to prominent figures from Tartu and Estonia.
