To observe Juneteenth, the holiday that marks the end of slavery in the US, we’re with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The company’s dancers are performing Ailey’s seminal 1960 work ‘Revelations,’ which depicts, in 36 minutes of modern dance, the long arc of history for African Americans, from slavery to freedom and beyond.
