At 2,349 metres, Mount Sirente dominates the landscape of the Sirente-Velino Regional Park, amid silent valleys and karst plateaus. Its massive, almost trapezoidal shape speaks of ancient geological origins and a mysterious crater, possibly caused by a meteorite that fell thousands of years ago.
